jem, DARING CAPITAL Founder

Hi, I’m Jem, the Founder of Daring Capital.

Prior to this, I was the founder & CEO of The Bike Project: they provide bikes to refugees across England. I scaled that to £2.5m ARR and won several awards including social entrepreneur of the year and the EU social innovation prize.

We raised social investment at The Bike Project and I also sit on the social investment committees of two large charitable trusts.

CLAIRE, Business Support Manager

Hi, I’m Claire, I work behind the scenes at Daring Capital. My background lies in HR and Admin, with past experience across a wide range of industries.

I’m a strong advocate for giving back to the community and provide admin support to local charities in my spare time.

AMIR, Investment advisor

Hi, I’m Amir. I currently work in the impact investment sector at Macmillan Cancer Services where I am working on its impact investing pilot programme. Before this I spent 3 years at Big Society Capital and have held impact investment roles at Comic Relief and CAF Venturesome.

I also sit on several boards as an NED or a trustee for a range of organisations.

Conrad, Tech Advisor

I’m Conrad, Technology Advisor at Daring Capital.

I have significant experience in commercialising complex technology, specifically in using artificial intelligence for financial crime solutions.

I am passionate about assisting founders and sales teams with their strategic go-to-market, narrative building, and lead generation.

Outside of work, I coach football and enjoy hosting book clubs and playing guitar.

Lauren, DEAL MANAGER

My name is Lauren and I am supporting the deal flow process at Daring.

My background is in Education and Employability. I have an MBA from Esade Business School and am Trustee of an environmental grant-making organisation.
